Credit Suisse International

Along with UBS, the best known of the banks, that is able to offer private banking along with numbered accounts.

The HQ is in Zurich, but there are branches throughout the country, and Credit Suisse International has offices in major cities like London, although the first office it opened outside the country was in New York.

First established in 1856 it now has three divisions, including the all important private banking division.

Included in the private banking is personal investment advice, available equally to those with a numbered Swiss bank account.

Wealth management services include effective tax planning and is able to offer all aspects you would anticipate from a leading private bank Switzerland.

UBS

Their main competitor is undoubtedly UBS. While they have had problems over the last few years, notably in the US, they are strong not just in Switzerland but have branches elsewhere – such as Monaco.

Including Europe, they are active in fifty countries around the world, and are seen as a natural organisation to approach about private banking in Switzerland.

They are seen by many investors as a good choice for wealth management, and sometimes they are able to offer numbered accounts through their private bank facilities.

They have a range of facilities available to those who choose to open an account and are accepted for UBS private banking.

Credit cards, ATM debit cards, financial advice, mortgages and a range of other services are available, in many ways similar to Credit Suisse International.

But it might be worth asking booth about wealth management, private banking in Switzerland – including numbered accounts – to see which you feel personally more comfortable with.
