Monaco And Monte Carlo General Photographs Here are some photographs of Monaco which don't really fit any of our other Monaco photograph galleries. |
It gets light at around 7.15am in Monaco in December, but despite it being winter the sky is blue and the sun is out…
It’s between 45 minutes and an hour by cab from Monaco to Nice Airport…or 7 minutes by helicopter, and we can only remember one ditching into the sea in recent years. The price is around the same as a cab too. The heliport is located in Fontvieille.
Also in Fontvieille, near the palace, is the market. There’s café’s here too which do great coffees, lunches and pastries. Living and visiting Monaco doesn’t have to mean 10 euros for a coffee. Closeby is a big supermarket (in the Fontvieille Commercial Center) with European prices – and good champagne from 14 Euros a bottle – and also a café called the Monte Carlo café just by the steps to the palace that is a typical French restaurant – with French prices.
Monaco has more millionaires per square mile than anywhere else on the planet and the most expensive property too – so not surprisingly Monaco has every designer shop possible. From Prada (pictured here) to Cartier, unlike some cities they’re all within a short stroll of each other. And with one policeman for every seventy residents it’s probably the safest place in the world to be rich…
